Ipswich burst into a festival of colour on 12th April 2026 as ISIA, in collaboration with Ipswich Borough Council, hosted one of the townβs most joyful and inclusive Holi celebrations to date. Alexandra Park transformed into a lively hub of music, dance, food, and cultural unity β a true reflection of Ipswichβs diverse and vibrant community.

π A Celebration of Diversity & Togetherness
People from all backgrounds, cultures, and age groups came together to celebrate the Indian Festival of Colours. The atmosphere was electric β laughter in the air, colours flying high, and families enjoying a day that felt both festive and welcoming.
A special highlight of the afternoon was the presence of the Mayor of Ipswich, who not only attended but enthusiastically joined in the colour play, adding to the spirit of openness and community connection.

A symbolic bonfire added a traditional touch to the celebration, reminding everyone of Holiβs roots β the triumph of good over evil and the warmth of community bonds.

πΆ Dance, DJ & Bollywood Magic
The stage came alive with energetic dance performances on popular Bollywood tracks, drawing cheers from the crowd. Performers of all ages showcased vibrant choreography that captured the essence of Indian culture.
